One day in March 2022, my friend (and legendary songwriter Martin Stephenson) called me to say he had acquired a wonderful 19th century Panormo parlour guitar, and he thought he would sound great if the Panormo and I played a few little songs in Italian together. One day in March 2022, my friend (and legendary songwriter Martin Stephenson) called me to say he had acquired a wonderful 19th century Panormo parlour guitar, and he thought he would sound great if the Panormo and I played a few little songs in Italian together. I wrote all these songs in one week and we recorded them live at the Tolbooth in Stirling, with the lovely Mark Lough placing just two vintage microphones out-of-phase in the room. That's it. I think this little album has a charm in its simplicity...I hope you like it.
