For the next few weeks I will be the musical artist for the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival. My work will consist of workshops in various locations and with various local groups of all ages. There will then be a final concert at the Assembly Roxy on the first weekend in December, I’ll post a precise date and time soon. The Festival is the brain child of Theatre Sans Accents and ‘Bilingualism Matters’ at the University of Edinburgh. Bilingualism and multiculturalism are concepts I’m really passionate about: they enrich a person, families, communities and whole Nations. Scotland embraces diversity and does not shy away from the merging of cultures, because it understands it can only bring benefit and tolerance. This festival is hopefully the beginning of great things to come.
